Welcome
Hans von Bell is a guitarist and a full time musician who lives in Stockholm, Sweden. He grew up during the 70’s blues and hard rock era and thus his main influences are people such as Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Dave Gilmour, Eddie van Halen, Michael Schenker and more recently Joe Bonamassa, just to name a few.
Hans began to play the guitar at the age of 12, and although he spent the better part of the 70’s and 80’s as a bass player in a number of bands, his heart was always with the guitar. His career as a guitarist commenced in the mid 90’s when he took the position as lead guitarist in various cover bands. Even though Hans has dipped into a variety of styles musically, such as rock, blues, fusion, classical guitar, country and blue grass as big sources of inspiration, it is within the rock and blues genres where he feels most at home as a musician.
Some years ago Hans started to record songs of his own and produces his own music. In 2011 and 2012 he went through an education in sound- and studio engineering and established his own home studio in 2013. Hans released his first album with the band The Soul Exchange in January 2015 and in 2016 he got signed by Mervilton Records. With "BLOODBOUND", the follow up to The Soul Exchanges' debut album released on the Mervilton label on November 29th, 2016 and with a tour to promote the new album, Hans is looking forward to 2017.
